An act to
put a Cap on Chemotherapy
SECTION I - PURPOSE
The purpose of this act will be to provide a $45 per month payment for people under going and/or paying for chemotherapy
SECTION II - JUSTIFICATION
The justification for this bill is to ensure that people with cancer can be able to afford treatment for more people
need to have access to it for right now only 20% of patients will cancer can get chemotherapy
SECTION III - DEFINITIONS
Chemotherapy is a drug treatment that uses powerful chemicals to kill fast-growing cancer cells in the body
SECTION IV - FUNDING
The funds for this act will come from taxpayers’ money to ensure that everyone is playing a part in helping someone to
get the right treatment
SECTION V – PENALTIES/ENFORCEMENT
If any health insurance companies try to find a way to bypass this act they will have to pay a fine of 10,000 - 15,000
dollars depending on the severity of the bypass
SECTION VI – EFFECTIVE DATE
The effective date of this bill will be immediately after the agreement and signing of this bill
